A SUMMER MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful summer weather. Before the season is over, we will celebrate with our annual picnic in Pioneer Park on August 27, 2009. We invite you to bring a guest or two, anyone you feel that may be open to learn about the values and benefits WCR® has to offer. We are always excited to share the great networking, education and leadership offered by our remarkable group here in Central Oregon. Beverages and food will be there, so come and enjoy…Last year we had a blast with our bottle auction. It is time to do it again! We have found a fun way to enjoy, have some laughs and raise a little money to support our chapter. So mark your calendar, look into your creative side and grab a bottle, wrap it up to keep the auction mysterious and amusing. Joy Helfrich, our President-Elect recently attended Leadership Academy in Chicago. See inside for a brief summary and feel free to pull her aside to learn more about the awe-inspiring details of going to an event like this. I hope one day that you will all have an opportunity as such. There will be a new touch coming to our next meeting in September. Pam Lester has agreed to do a short “legal issue” topic with us. If you have a particular issue you would like for discussion, please let me know, as we plan for this very educational session. Congratulations to Laura and Mike George on arriving back safely from Ethiopia with their daughter, Emme. Congratulations are also in order for Siduri Taylor delivering her 2nd daughter in July. Please reach out to these gals with joyfulness on their new additions! I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our picnic. Remember we can make a difference with our positive attitude and the WCR friendship of this chapter. Sydne Anderson
